FLT/TLT Operator – Biffa Edmonton MRF (Multiple Shifts Available).
Shifts available:
4 on 4 off Rolling Shift (Days & Nights)- Hours: 42 hours per week
- Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 rest days
- Includes: Weekends and bank holidays that fall within your shift
- Pay: £13.43 per hour
- Additional: £173 per month London Waiting Allowance (after 3 months’ probation)
- Hours: 45 hours per week (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Pay: £13.14 per hour
- Additional: £173 per month London Waiting Allowance (after 3 months’ probation)

At Biffa, as an FLT Operator, you’ll be responsible for safely handling and transporting materials, supporting efficient waste management operations while maintaining high safety standards
Your core responsibilities.- Operate a forklift truck (FLT) to safely move and transport waste materials.
- Load and unload vehicles, containers, and processing equipment.
- Ensure waste is sorted and stored correctly in designated areas.
- Conduct daily pre-use checks and basic maintenance on FLT equipment.
- Assist with general site housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work as part of a team while using your own initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
- Report any equipment faults or operational issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
Our essential requirements.- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach, as required).
- Previous experience in a waste management, recycling, or industrial setting (preferred).
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
