Personal Assistant

Personal Assistant required to support a happy and laid back 14-year-old boy with a Learning Disability, whose smile will light up a room, to enjoy the activities he enjoys such as being with animals, swimming and undertaking scenario activities.

Living in the Newquay area.

2:1 support required if supporting this young man to participate in social activities outside of the family home so it is expected that two personal assistants will need to work together on occasions.

Personal Assistant to also support him in building on life skills on a 1:1 basis within the family home.

Flexible hours to be discussed with family.

Hourly rate £14.00 – 45p a mile will require Business Class Insurance

Some knowledge or experience of working with young people with special educational needs an advantage.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
