We are looking for an individual to join our team who has excellent organisational and communication skills and is able to work flexibly.

Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of care within The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive administration support within the Same Day Emergency Care Unit.

Working core office hours Monday to Friday.

To assist nursing staff with clerical duties relating to the admission, discharge and transfer of patients and smooth running of the SDEC service.

Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives.

Qualifications & Education

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade C / Level 4-9 to include Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent

Knowledge and Training

Essential criteria
  • An understanding of Office Procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS policies

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of providing admin support in current or previous role
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of providing admin support within a health or social services setting
