- Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week
- Salary: £46,549 to £49,590 per annum

Day to Day of the role:
- Foster positive relationships and encourage strong bonds between children and staff.
- Collaborate with professionals, families, and communities to support children’s growth.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development processes for the staff team.
- Act as an advocate for children, ensuring their views are heard and considered.
- Nurture children’s ambitions and support their learning journeys.
- Develop and maintain effective working and information sharing protocols.
- Stay informed on developments regarding the care of looked-after children.
- Create a stable and secure environment for young people to address past and present challenges.
- Manage individual and environmental risk assessments and ensure effective risk management.
- Handle complex behaviours assertively and sensitively.
- Oversee the admissions process and support colleagues in this task.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate individual care plans.
- Participate in appraisal, training, and development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree level education plus NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (funded if not already held).
- Social work qualification advantageous but not essential.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and team working abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards.
- Experience in residential care of children and staff management within the last 5 years.
