We are looking for a Teacher to work at a special school located in Yeovil, Somerset.

We cater to students with a range of complex learning difficulties, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to create a supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning experience for our students.

The Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Support students in developing communication, independence, and confidence.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and ethos.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and those new to special education. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
  • A creative and adaptable and playful approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
