Location: YorkSalary: £24,600 to £26,038 per annum (£17,951 to £19,000 pro rata)

The Team
Our Programme Administration & Support Service (PASS) provides a professional administrative service to students and academic staff across our Academic Schools. Our ethos is to hold the student experience at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to provide a quality of service at all times.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, proactive and highly self-motivated Administrator.
On a day-to-day basis you will act as a point of contact for staff and students, delivering a variety of administrative activities associated with academic programme delivery. These activities include arranging and minuting meetings, processing student assignment extensions and booking trips.
You will also take a proactive approach to handling student enquiries, signposting students to School staff or other departments where necessary. Our Administrators are allocated specific areas of the university to work with and will be expected to take the lead supporting specific programmes.This provides a great opportunity to build effective relationships with colleagues.
For the permanent role based in the Education programmes team you will also support with accurate and timely data entry, tracking and reporting in relation to our Ofsted obligations. Ideally, you will be available to support with bi-weekly student interview days at certain points of the year, starting at 8am when these occur, however, this can be discussed further at interview.
Required skills and experience
You will have experience of working within an office environment and have an excellent standard of computer literacy with standard software (Microsoft word, excel, Outlook and online collaborative software such as MS Teams etc.) A professional approach, ability to multi-task and willingness to work as effectively and efficiently as possible to provide a high-quality service are essential.You will be a team player and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
