Location: Cardiff (On Site)Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,500-£27,000 DOE
Reporting to: Marketing Executive
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Assistant & Welsh Language Officer to support our marketing function, helping to increase brand awareness, generate leads, drive sales, and enhance our overall marketing strategy. This role will also play a crucial part in promoting the Welsh language within the business, ensuring compliance with language policies and enhancing our Welsh-language presence.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Duties- Assist in creating content and developing marketing materials.
- Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and posting.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
- Support digital marketing campaigns, including PPC, email marketing, and analytics.
- Research, write, and edit case studies to showcase company success and achievements.
- Support internal communications, event planning, and company branding.
- Assist in writing and distributing newsletters and promotional materials.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
- Support the HR team in delivering Welsh language initiatives and projects.
- Maintain the Cynnig Cymraeg accreditation and promote Welsh language resources.
- Represent the company at Welsh-language meetings and events.
- Translate marketing materials, internal communications, social media posts, and website content into Welsh.
- Work with the marketing team to promote Welsh language and culture.
- Ensure key internal policies and documents are available in Welsh.
- Ensure the security of company assets and compliance with policies.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and diversity within the organisation.
- Demonstrate an ownership mindset, taking responsibility for key objectives.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive workplace, reporting any risks.
- Attend relevant training and development programmes.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of marketing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organise, and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken).
Desirable:
- CIM qualification or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of WordPress, CRM systems, and PPC marketing.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite.
