We are excited to announce a 10-month secondment opportunity for a Quality and Performance Officer to join our dynamic Newham Directorate. Ideal candidates should have a background in quality and performance, coupled with strong administrative skills and a collaborative approach. The role will involve working collaboratively with the performance leads, peers and senior clinicians to support the development and monitoring of performance across the directorate.

  • To support theformulation and implementation of effective in-house systems to ensure accurate capturing of data and record keeping (including the processing of referrals) and to revise as and when the need arises, ensuring the use of quality data reports including activity and outcome data.
  • To work collaboratively with peers, Performance Leads, Lead Administrators, Operational Managers, PCN Leads, Senior Managers and other Transformation Partners.
  • Provide support to the training of staff with regards to the clinical systems (RiO & EMIS) and Microsoft 365 including Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • To work alongside and cover the Quality and Performance Manager as and when is appropriate.
  • To organise and participate in key meetings and disseminate information to ensure that there is effective and efficient communication within the service.
  • To proactively monitor trends within the directorate, producing regular statistical reports and analysis to meet Trust guidelines. To identify blockages or concerns in line with national targets and Trust objectives, working in conjunction with senior managers.
  • To motivate and guide staff at all levels to support the achievement of internal and external performance measures.
