Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round (Term-time + some additional working weeks can be considered)

The Great Schools Trust is seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk / Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation that prioritises excellence and innovation in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance Team in ensuring the financial stability of the Trust.
  • Process purchase invoices and other financial documents using Iris Financials accounting software.
  • Maintain supplier records and process orders while ensuring compliance with Academy Financial Regulations and DfE's Academies Handbook.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, investigate queries, and monitor credit card expenditures.
  • Assist in procurement, ensuring best value and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Provide financial analysis to aid key decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate filing and record-keeping of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
