The foundation of this service/product offering brings innovation, value creation, and profitability for Blackhawk’s Partners for both existing and emerging prepaid payment utilities.

Blackhawk Network’s Commerce Solutions Product team is looking for a hands-on Business Analyst with strong technical aptitude and prior experience collaborating with stakeholder and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. The candidate must have both a proven track record building technical product services and a desire to drive amazing new product capabilities in the critical internal and external customer journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product and Engineering Directors in delivering strategic objectives for Blackhawk's world class eCommerce platforms and solutions (Prepaid - Open Loop, Closed Loop and Digital products.)
  • Be an owner-resolver, responsible for feature delivery from concept to release, collaborating with internal experts and clients to produce intelligent and insightful products.
  • Create holistic solutions partnering with product managers and engineers to deliver on product roadmap.
  • Transform product strategy into well-articulated business requirements, as well as using qualitative and quantitative data effectively to inform product direction and prioritization.
  • Research, document and brief ‘shovel ready’ solution to a global development team within the BHN Agile Scrum methodology
  • Use data and metrics driven approach for solving problems.
  • Define acceptance criteria to accomplish goals, closely manage the Definition of Done
  • Define and ship products in an iterative manner, with a hands-on willingness to do whatever it takes from an execution perspective.
  • Follow Agile best practice as an IC to ensure the development team deliver with high accuracy and quality.
  • Manage acceptance testing with business stakeholders
  • Support the deployment of new features alongside the DevOps Engineers to ensure smooth release of deliverables.
  • Sharing regular sprint/key product initiative status reports with senior leaders.
  • Communicate clearly with the ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as functional / technical deep dives.
  • Support Operations team escalations to Engineering, providing analysis on possible causes and remediation.

Qualifications:

  • Fantastic problem-solving abilities using data and metrics, analytical horsepower, and attention to detail.
  • Prior development experience would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience working with a remote team within different time zones.
  • BEng / Computer Science Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant, hands-on business analyst or product management experience and demonstrated success at building eCommerce platforms for a global audience.
  • Positive attitude, and a collaborative approach towards problem solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities.
  • Understanding of relevant technology and tools including Web and Mobile App development, APIs, cloud solutions, workflow, system design, tools (programming languages, UX design, etc.) and eCommerce Platforms
  • Experience in delivery and support of Enterprise D2C, B2C and B2B platforms
  • Experience in managing 3rd party suppliers and associated budgets
  • Strong product design skills, from both a technical API and user interface design perspective.
  • Strong Business Requirements and Product Requirements development skills, including but not limited to use-case, business case development, system/sequence diagrams, workflow and domain model development.
  • Experience in managing end to end product releases.
  • Demonstrable use of Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in analysis and reporting using tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, Magento BI
  • Experience managing eCommerce platforms using Adobe Commerce and AEM.
  • Expert in writing Product Specs / Use case flows.
