ABOUT THE ROLE

Working in our Veterinary division, you will be part of a small customer service team providing dedicated quality service to our UK and International veterinary customers and supporting our sales teams.

Tasks will include managing the full customer experience from order enquiries to after-sales service. You will be responsible for all aspects of the order process, including generating quotations, order confirmations, arranging nationwide and global delivery, preparing invoices and liaising with suppliers and couriers.

Sales are generated to customers globally and you will need to gain knowledge of basic import and export requirements.

This role requires applicants to be able to handle a high and varied workload with efficiency and accuracy, both over the phone and via e-mail. You must be highly organised and be able to work in a busy environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creating customer quotations; order confirmations, delivery notes and invoices.
  • Assisting customers in exact determination of product specifications
  • Tracking and following up sales opportunities
  • Working closely with regional account managers in the UK to support sales activities.
  • Working closely with warehouse operations in UK for customer despatches
  • Day to day administration of the sales order process
  • Creating information on company’s bespoke computerised sales system
  • Assisting customers with a variety of questions relating to products, orders and costs
KEY SKILLS
  • Understanding of a sales process – quotations, orders and after-sales service
  • Able to converse easily with customers and colleagues
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An eye for detail, and good numerical ability
  • Able to be flexible and readjust plans, able to prioritise work
  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills

THE PERSON

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and have the capacity to learn about current and new products. It is essential that you are capable and confident on computers and be able to use MS Office applications, using Excel frequently, SAGE accounts and the company customer relationship database with excellent attention to detail.

You must have the capacity to work with colleagues at all levels, have the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative whilst maintaining a team approach.
