King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) is looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of Physical Education to join our well-resourced and high achieving team. This opportunity would suit an early career teacher (ECT) as well as a more experienced candidate.

Applicants will be joining a faculty that:

  • Seeks opportunities to work collaboratively across the faculty through dedicated curriculum time which is built into timetabled hours for staff each week
  • Is passionate about subject specific CPD
  • Is motivated to look for opportunities to improve the well-being and workload of its staff
  • Understands the importance of curriculum design and delivery
  • Is reflective and focused on improving teaching and learning at all levels
  • Offers OCR Physical Education at A-level and GCSE as well as Cambridge National in Sports Studies.
  • Is developing the Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 examination curriculum to offer the best courses for our students.
Our all-through school opened in a superb new building in September 2018 and we have grown year on year. In addition to the secondary phase, we also have two primary phases set across two sites, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).

From September 2024, we have students from year N to year 6 in primary and year 7 through to year 11. Our new 6th form provision, KAB6, opened in September 2023.

KAB has outstanding sporting facilities which include a sports hall, dance studio, four netball/tennis courts, 4G all weather pitch and extensive playing fields.

Applicants should be excellent teachers and have the ability to motivate, inspire and lead students to excel. The successful candidate will be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life.
