Job Description
As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary focus will be to assist students in overcoming learning barriers and reaching their full potential.
Job Duties- Assessing students' individual needs and creating personalised learning plans
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
- Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
A degree in Education or a related field
Experience
Prior experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills- Understanding of various Special Educational Needs and appropriate teaching strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges
Working Conditions
This role is part-time, with flexible hours. You may be required to work in a classroom setting or provide home-based tutoring depending on student needs.
