Experienced Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School (SEND/SEMH) - Southwark
Are you passionate about supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Southwark is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their SEND department, working directly under the SENCO.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Provide personalized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO and the SEND team to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students both in mainstream classes and through targeted interventions within the SEND department.
- Assist in implementing individualized learning plans to promote academic and emotional development.
- Demonstrated experience working with SEN and SEMH students, ideally within a **mainstream secondary school** setting.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive, compassionate approach to meeting the unique needs of each student.
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and techniques to help students achieve their full potential.
- Become a valued member of a **dedicated SEND department** within a school that prioritizes inclusivity and student well-being.
