Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic and self-motivated individual, to join the Patient Access Team as a Receptionist / booking co-ordinator. The role involves supporting patients face to face and over the telephone.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Outpatient Department Team the Receptionist / Booking Co-Ordinator role is pivotal in ensuring we achieve several government targets around patient waiting times. Your duties will involve making and rescheduling patient appointments using the electronic patient record platform whilst applying knowledge of targets and specialty specific requirements.You will also be liaising with patients face to face or via the telephone, dealing with queries from internal and external contacts, providing an efficient and effective administration service

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria- Reception Experience
- Customer Service Skills
- GP or NHS Experience
- Education, including English and Maths
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria- Office Admin Experience
- NHS experience desirable
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Essential criteria- Ability to work on all sites
