What skills and experience we're looking for
The Pride Academy is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our school community. If you are passionate about art and education, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- To effectively plan Art lessons that are simulating, relevant and well-structured to a wide range of abilities, social, emotional and communication needs
- Work with members of the Senior Leadership Team in the development, review and evaluations of the curriculum
- Ensure that all learning equipment is in good order
- Organise a person centred learning environment allowing students to take ownership of their learning and ambitions
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS or be willing to undergo teach training
- A clear understanding of the features of high quality teaching and learning
- Experience of working with students with social, emotional and mental health needs
