Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers an attractive salary range of £75,000 - £85,000. The successful candidate will provide IFRS accounting knowledge and technical support to the business ensuring continuous improvement in controls through critical assessments.
What you'll do:
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, your role will be pivotal in managing the financial activities of the bank. You will apply your knowledge of IFRS to provide accounting knowledge and technical support to various business departments. Your commitment to continuous improvement will see you critically assessing existing workflows to enhance accounting processes and controls.You will take ownership of control functions including reconciliations while building effective working relationships within the team, and across the wider bank.
- Responsible for assisting internal control functions on accounting operations, month and year end close following HO relevant requirements
- Ensuring accurate IFRS accounting treatments
- Providing technical IFRS accounting support
- Support data enhancement projects
- Liaising with auditors
- Head office reporting as well as AP/AR monitoring and management
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Financial Reporting Accountant role is a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with technical expertise in accounting operations under IFRS. You have demonstrable business transformation and process improvement skills along with knowledge and experience of financial products and services.As an advanced Excel user, you are comfortable handling large data sets.
