Pharmacy Assistant
Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary
Band 2 / 3 depending on qualifications and experience
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to support and enhance our teams at Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. You will be required to work at both sites as part of a three week structured rotation.
Depending on qualifications and experience you will be appointed to either a band 2 or band 3 position.
Requirement to study for an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services if not already gained at appointment.
Your role will include providing a ward stock topping up service of pharmaceutical products, reception duties including logging information, receiving goods from the suppliers, dispensing prescriptions and housekeeping duties.
You will need good communication skills for liaising with ward staff, pharmacy staff, porters and drivers. You must be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient focus
Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. If you already hold a level 4 qualification you may be required to self-fund this qualification.
There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working including late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
