Social Value, Apprentice Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Value & Apprenticeship Advisor to join our team. In this unique and multifaceted role, you will provide expert advice and support on both Section 106 agreements and apprenticeship programs. You will be instrumental in ensuring that development projects meet legal obligations, while also helping to shape and deliver apprenticeship opportunities that foster skill development and community growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in both planning law and apprenticeship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor the implementation of Section 106 obligations, ensuring all commitments (e.g., affordable housing, infrastructure) are delivered on time and as agreed.
  • Act as the key point of contact between site, local authorities, and other stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth processes implementation.
  • Advise site on policies related to Section 106 agreements and contribute to broader strategic planning efforts.
  • Support with the design, implementation, and management of Statom apprenticeship programs that meet both industry standards and the needs of the organisation. Ensure apprenticeships are aligned with local skills requirements.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process for apprentices, ensuring a fair and effective selection process, and providing comprehensive onboarding for new apprentices.
  • Training and Development: Organise training sessions, workshops, and other development opportunities to support apprentices in their learning journey.
  • Mentorship and Support: Serve as a point of contact for apprentices, offering ongoing support and guidance throughout their training. Ensure apprentices are matched with suitable mentors within the organisation.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on the progress of apprentices, conducting performance reviews and ensuring compliance with apprenticeship standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Section 106 regulations
  • Experience in managing and developing apprenticeship programs, including recruitment, training, and mentoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to address challenges in both Section 106 agreements and apprenticeship management.
  • High attention to detail, especially when drafting legal agreements and managing apprenticeship records.
  • Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders, including developers, local authorities, and educational institutions.
  • Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in Section 106 agreements or apprenticeship management, or both, is essential.
  • Professional qualifications or memberships are advantageous.
