Role Overview: A people-focused role with a hands-on approach is responsible for delivering a proactive HR strategy, always striving to develop the stores’ teams, their engagement and performance in line with commercial objectives. Must have an excellent understanding of the business, its strategy, the teams and customers, and a very good understanding of the people challenges faced by the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain skilled staff, ensuring timely recruitment for all store positions within labour budgets.
  • Work together with managers and key stakeholders to identify and develop the talent pool, define and actively follow up on training plans, performance and promotion of the teams to sustain the brands’/departments succession planning and talent management
  • To constantly work on developing training programs to ensure employees' needs are adequately met and to deliver masterclasses per training calendar
  • Drive ER activities by advising and leading in resolving HR matters, ensuring legal compliance, and adhering to company best practices.
  • Support with the definition and implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Conduct leaving discussions and relevant feedback acted upon, aiming to act on ETO reasons and concerns
  • Review employee performance through 1:1 meetings to ensure they meet company standards and sustain the talent pool.
  • Drive wellbeing initiatives to enhance the team’s working experience
  • Ensuring that the principles of diversity and inclusion are embedded in your work practices and influence the ones around them
  • Provide guidance on people practices regarding restructures, store openings and closings
  • To ensure salary bandings are applied fairly and consistently through the business unit maintaining the balance with personnel cost
  • Use evidence and data to identify people's priorities for the business and address future workforce needs
  • Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency
  • To monitor, analyse and act on the Business Units’ HR KPIs to achieve business goals within budget
  • Provide input to companywide projects to ensure Giorgio Armani is able to improve performance constantly
Requirements
  • People management experience, preferably in an advisory capacity
  • Experience in the delivery of presentations and training courses, recruitment and managing Employment Law matters
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to set goals and establish performance standards
  • Well-established planning skills and an ability to take a proactive approach to resolving issues and meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building partnerships, managing conflict and influencing others
  • Verbal and written communication, including active listening, for determining business goals and suggesting ways to achieve them through human resource initiatives
  • Comprehensive understanding of the industry, focus area and business trends
  • A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals
  • Able to keep confidentiality is essential
  • Availability to travel at short notice
  • CIPD qualification desirable but not essential
