Job overview

The administrator will be responsible for providing the Department with administrative and other non-nursing support, to enable the efficient and appropriate use of resources and staffing, to ensure the smooth running of the Maternity Department.

Main duties of the job
  • Booking appointments for clinics
  • Entering activity data on PAS and BadgerNet
  • Admit, discharge and transfer women on PAS
  • Registering new women on PAS
  • Any other clerical task that is required for the smooth running of the department

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general level of education – minimum 4 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths, English, Science and one other at grade C or above / grades 9-4
  • NVQ level 2 administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of undertaking general administration and clerical duties
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of a medical background
