What you'll do

As an Audit Manager within our Credit Risk team, you’ll play a key part in providing independent assurance over wholesale credit risk management processes and controls across the Bank’s credit portfolios.

You’ll be an ambassador for internal audit, demonstrating professional behaviours and helping to build on the reputation and integrity of the function.

Your role will also involve:

  • Providing quality, efficient, and effective assurance and influencing business and risk managers to improve controls
  • Leading and coaching the team as they deliver audit engagements, making sure they're delivered to budget and on time, while helping them to realise their potential
  • Leveraging industry leading audit methodology and tools
  • Managing key stakeholders throughout audit engagements, ensuring a good understanding of business risks and an open and effective discussion on key risks

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you’ll ideally have worked in an internal/external audit and/or risk management environment in a corporate and investment bank. You’ll need to have a strong background in managing and/or auditing wholesale credit risk processes and controls through the credit lifecycle.

This includes a deep understanding of credit risk sanctioning (underwriting), portfolio management and workout (restructuring). You’ll further need analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dynamically assess and analyse both structured and unstructured data.

A thorough understanding of key regulations including CRR and IFRS 9 will be beneficial. A relevant quantitative degree and/or professional qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM) is preferred.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to demonstrate leading a team in delivering projects in an Agile way, while keeping a firm hand on budget, schedule, and quality
  • The ability to support and supervise a team through coaching, feedback, and development, with a proactive approach towards identifying and promoting talent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
