Make evidence-based decisions within the prescribed scope of practice Analysis and approval of planning and treatment verification images, following designated training and adhering to work instructions and protocols To determine and process patient outlining for dose prediction and produce dose predictions for the treatment planning of patients using treatment planning system Analyse systematically and evaluate all data and information relevant to patients diagnosis, ensuring the patient and their relatives are treated with dignity and respect at all times Planning and organisation Lead CT planning sessions, obtaining all necessary images and measurements, and accurately recording information gained.

CT scan patients to localise tumour volumes for treatment planning including the outlining of critical structures and organs in preparation for the tumour volume delineation by the clinical oncologist To hold competencies for IV contrast CT scanning Lead the construction of immobilisation devices prior to CT scanning Supports pre-treatment manager in the preparation of pre-treatment documentation to include using Mosaiq Data Management System and Q-Pulse quality management system To determine and process patient outlining for dose prediction and produce dose predictions for the treatment planning of patients using treatment planning system Maintain and develop own personal standards of care and technical ability Make evidence-based decisions within the prescribed scope of practice Participate in Multi-disciplinary team meetings as required Supervise student radiographers both on clinical and elective placements To ensure that in all aspects of the work the adequate care and well-being of the patient is considered To be responsible and accountable for own actions in accordance with the Radiographers Professional Code of Conduct Take individual professional responsibility for the accurate planning and delivery of radiotherapy treatment ensuring that the requirements or IR(ME)R 2017 Ionising Regulations 2017 (IRR17) are complied with Provides advice and information to Brachytherapy and mould room support is provided by Exeter under an SLA.

Able to work at awkward positions under couch. Able to tattoo accurately. Fine adjustments required for shell fitting. Able to move awkward/heavy equipment safely Able to move patients from trolley/chair to treatment couch safely using appropriate equipment Patient and client care Provides advice and information to patients relative to tumour site and method of treatment in order to minimise the risk of side effects developing and provide information on how to deal with these should they develop, referring to the wider MDT as appropriate Policy and service development Works with colleagues to include research radiographer and physicists in evaluating and developing working practice, new treatment techniques, care strategies and options for new equipment in order to reduce delays in treatment and improve patient care and outcomes Ensures that QA procedures relating to pre-treatment activities continue to reflect current practice and draw up new procedures as new equipment is acquired or working practice evolves Undertakes run up of CT scanner and performs daily QA checks To assist in the preparation and update of documentation in accordance with ISO9001:2015 within the Quality Management System Comply with all treatment related record keeping as specified in the quality assurance documentation and reports any error or near misses using electronic reporting system in-line with Towards Safer Radiotherapy 2008 Individuals Personal Development Plan to be discussed and agreed Undertake any additional duties which may become necessary to maintain or improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the service
