About the role
CPI is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to our growing UK team. Reporting directly to the Global People Manager (UK), this role will be at the heart of CPI’s efforts to recruit and retain great people in the UK.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for all CPI UK based employee and manager queries, providing support and information on core HR policies and process. You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle, as such you must have good judgment and significant initiative across a broad spectrum of activities and situations.
This role requires a confident HR Generalist with strong organizational and interpersonal skills who can work independently and confidently across a variety of busy areas.
Roles and responsibilities
Includes the following and others as assigned:
HR Essentials – People and Culture- Lead the recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes for all UK employees, providing proactive advice and support to all stakeholders throughout each process.
- Proactively develop trusted relationships across the organisation to support the embedding of HR policies and practices,
- Provide trusted subject matter expertise and advice to managers in line with CPI policies and procedures
- Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice to ensure CPI processes and handbook are compliant and align to best practise.
- Identify improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve efficiency or create processes where none
- Ensure EDI practices and wellbeing are considered in all decision making, ensuring CPI remains an inclusive workplace.
- With the UK Director and GPM seek out ways to reinforce our positive culture
- Lead monthly UK payroll preparation and submission to external payroll provider, responding to any employee payroll queries from staff
- Data and Analytics
- Producing regular and ad—hoc HR reports for managers, senior leadership team and board.
- Ensuring all employee information (Bamboo HR) and soft copy files are kept up to date for accurate reporting.
- Support the GPM in reviewing UK specific Handbook, policies and processes including designing, reviewing and making recommendations of changes.
- With support of GPM to oversee all UK skilled worker visa compliance and right to work checks and monitoring.
- Work with the global operations team to implement operational procedures including expense reporting, time tracking and knowledge management
- Support with Global HR projects and initiatives and their roll out
- Provide support to other CPI offices and teams during busy times.

- A proven track record as a HR Generalist
- Previous experience in a non-profit will be advantageous
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required;
- Experience using Sage Intacct or other payroll systems.

- You are flexible and willing to jump into tasks as needed
- You are detail oriented while being aware of the big picture
- You are flexible with working across multiple time zones when required
- Previous experience with Bamboo HR or similar HRIS platforms will be advantageous
CPI is recruiting for one full time position to be based in our London office.
CPI has adopted hybrid working whereby staff work 20% on site. Although the nature of this role means some elements will be best fulfilled when on-site so regular office attendance will be required from this role.
CPI salary offers are determined by the level of skill and experience demonstrated by the selected candidate as well as alignment to internal equity and external market levels.
