We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Utilities to join PM Group working for us based out of any of our UK offices.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Utilities
Location: Birmingham, Manchester of Edinburgh
Contract: Full Time – Permanent
  • - Design coordination of gas projects, working with our clients to deliver the project scope.
  • Coordinate all disciplines involved in delivery while taking the lead on the Mechanical Design.
  • Support projects undertaken by other members of the team, providing technical support or carrying out checking roles for project documentation.
  • Adherence to relevant UK and international gas industry design codes such as IGEM/TD/1; TD/12; TD/13; TD/4; TD/3; ASME: B31.8; B31.3; B31.4; etc., as well as a working knowledge of Gas Network standards and specifications.
  • Utilise the PM Group systems, procedures and templates for the mechanical and project deliverables.
  • Contribute towards proposals to ensure our proposals meet the customer’s needs.
  • Ensure that the delivery is in line with the project execution plan and associated scope documents.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with guidance from the project management team.
  • Promote PM Group’s capabilities in all areas of the business.
  • - As a minimum a Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. Engineering, Construction or Science) although appropriate experience in the gas industry may be considered.
  • Achieved or actively working towards Chartered Status with a recognised institution (IMechE, IGEM, or similar).
  • You must have a proven level of experience in delivering complex and multi-disciplined design in one or more of, Energy & Environment, Hydrogen and Gas Sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering and handling design.
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to produce quality work and achieve project deadlines within budget.
  • You must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality delivery.
  • A forward planner, who identifies and resolves project challenges effectively.
