Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary schools in the Thornbury area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them reach their academic goals.
  • Help create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students with special educational needs and individual learning plans.
  • Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe, organized learning space.
  • Participate in school events and activities to enhance student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A relevant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s development.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
