Operations Variance Analyst

Humdinger, Sherburn LS25 6PJ

Humdinger is seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Variance Analyst to join our team. This role involves analysing and reporting on material and labour variances, monitoring production data, and ensuring the accuracy of critical reporting processes.

You will play a key part in operational performance development and will work closely with senior teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Position type: Permanent, full time

Hours: 37.5 per week

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Work Orders are accurately entered & variances corrected before the account closed by others
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly (senior team) reports on Material and Labour Variances
  • Provide Management Reporting including Monthly Board Report information as requested
  • Identify areas of non-conformance & assist in developing countermeasures
  • Assist in stock-take adjustments at site
  • Maintain & develop all sites reporting databases
  • Provide cover & support for Production Administrator as required

Qualifications:

  • Strong people skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) tools (desired).
  • Experience in the FMCG sector, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • High level of numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with teams at all levels.
  • Experience in database development and maintenance.
