Work Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, all year round

Location: Office based at School

We will support a Level 3 or 4 AAT apprenticeship for the right candidate (arrangements and package will be varied accordingly). Please be clear in your application if you would be interested.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role provides an opportunity to support across the whole range of accounting and finance activity in a busy Independent School. This can include the following areas, and we tailor remit to the skills and motivations of the successful candidate.
There is real scope to develop in your role here at Crosfields.
Key Requirements·
  • Managing the end to end purchasing and supplier invoice and payment process
  • Managing staff expenses, school credit cards and other payment methods.
  • Contributing to billing, customer query handling and payment across both the core school and all its wider commercial activities
  • Supporting the monthly payroll processes
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Involvement in various other adhoc finance matters for example finances for school trips, charity and fundraising finances, etc.
Skills
Essential
  • A minimum 1-2years’ experience working within a finance or accounts environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal guidance.
  • Finance qualifications (or working towards) would be advantageous.
Desirable
  • AAT level 2 or 3 qualifications, and/or other recognised bookkeeping qualifications
  • A-Levels or equivalent with a notable numeracy content
  • School/Education finance experience
Personal Qualities
  • Proactive, personable and confident
  • Professional and effective communication via telephone, email and face-to-face
  • A keen eye for detail and meticulously organised
