Homelessness Support Worker - Nights
Your new company
Hays are currently recruiting for experienced Homelessness Support Workers to complete night shifts, based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. Please note this is on a temporary, ad-hoc basis and hours will differ each week.
Your new role
Your new role will be working as a Support Worker within a homelessness service. You will be expected to monitor the building and customers, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times, letting customers in and out of the building and checking CCTV to ensure no visitors are permitted in the building, flagging any safeguarding issues and providing advice and support to customers and ensuring the building is kept in good condition.You will also be expected to provide detailed handovers to day staff and complete any necessary paperwork for any incidents.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for the role, you will need proven experience working in a similar environment and providing support to customers with complex needs. You will also need an enhanced DBS (although Hays can put this through for you).
