Planning Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated Planning Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team in operations planning and scheduling. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in production planning and master scheduling, along with strong leadership skills and a background in engineering and manufacturing.

• Lead and develop the planning team to achieve high performance levels
• Deliver operations plans and schedules from start to finish
• Collaborate with various departments including manufacturing, engineering, and sales
• Ensure capacity and capability planning
• Oversee production of finished goods and sales orders
• Conduct resource planning, materials estimating, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and health and safety standards
• Provide leadership and development opportunities for the team through coaching and motivation
• Utilise planning tools such as MRP and ERP to process tasks
• Generate accurate reports and conduct root cause analysis
• Monitor progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Previous extensive experience in production planning and master scheduling
• Background in engineering and manufacturing
• Knowledge and experience using ERP/MRP systems
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
