• Develop and implement health and safety policies in line with legislation.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to staff members on health and safety procedures.
• Lead investigations into any incidents and ensure lessons are learnt and improvements made.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance to senior management.
• Develop risk assessment protocols and oversee their implementation.
• Maintain a positive health and safety culture within the Wolverhampton-based Construction department.
• Ensure all health and safety documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Health and Safety Manager should have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
• A strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and practices.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with all levels of staff.
• The ability to work independently and make important decisions.
• Experience in implementing safety measures and creating a culture of safety.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
