An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice in Bury St Edmunds on a fixed-term contract for three months. Working Monday and Tuesday nights, the role offers the chance to be part of a purpose-built facility dedicated to providing exceptional emergency care.

They are open to more long-term contracts if that is more convenient and appealing for you!

The practice is equipped with a wide range of advanced diagnostic tools, including iSTAT, digital radiography, high-quality ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, ECG, ventilator, and a CT scanner, ensuring that you have all the resources needed to deliver gold-standard care.

Their fantastic team is made up of RVNs, SVNs, assistants, and vets, including certificate holders in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, imaging, medicine, and emergency and critical care. Your responsibilities will include handling consultations, answering overnight calls, and working closely with your nursing team to provide advice or arrange consultations as needed.

You will also be responsible for inpatient care, maintaining patient records, communicating with owners, and handing over to the morning team.

The ideal candidate will be confident in sole charge and comfortable handling a range of cases throughout the night. Experience in night work is desirable but not essential. The Rota:

Fixed term contract - 3-month period
