The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 for suitable candidates.
- Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, ensuring that all learners, regardless of ability, have the opportunity to achieve.
- Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams, focusing on key skills such as critical thinking, analysis, and structured writing.
- Promote literacy and language development throughout the school by organising activities such as creative writing clubs, book discussions, and debates.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a teacher who is:
- Qualified with UK QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experienced in teaching English at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and exam specifications.
- Passionate about English and committed to inspiring students to develop their skills in reading, writing, and communication.
- Able to create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported, regardless of their ability level.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
