Job Description- Responsible for managing, leading and developing the finance team
- Manage the annual budgeting process, the rolling forecast.
- Oversee the reporting and analysis of financial information in order to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial to support decision making across the organisation
- Coordinate audits ensuring deadlines are met and corrective actions are implemented
- Oversee all accounting and finance operations within the company.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals.
- Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
- Participate in strategic decision-making processes.
- Responsible for developing and realising the efficiencies of the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 system
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- Qualified Accountant
- Knowledge and experience of accounting standards UK (Understanding of the Charity SOP is preferred)
- Audit management experience is essential
- A deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
- The ability to analyse financial data and generate insights to support decision-making
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations
- The ability to lead and managing the finance team effectively
- Clear communication with various stakeholders, including explaining complex financial concepts
- Strategic planning and providing financial insights to support business goals
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Cost Management: Implementing cost control measures and monitoring financial performance
- Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central systems to streamline processes
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve financial issues efficiently
- Experience of change management
- Tact and diplomacy and an ability to influence at all levels
- A competitive salary in the range of £7000 - £75,000 per annum
