Family Support Worker (Grade 5)

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker (Grade 5) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing family resilience and wellbeing through direct support services. You will engage with families to assess their needs, provide guidance, and link them to relevant community resources.
This position requires a deep commitment to supporting families facing various challenges, including those related to mental health, education, and social services. As a Family Support Worker, you will work closely with families to empower them, helping them develop skills necessary for independent, healthy living.
You will also collaborate with various agencies and stakeholders to offer a holistic approach to support. The role demands flexibility, as you may work in different community environments, engage with families in their homes, or facilitate workshops to promote family wellbeing.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support and advocacy to families in need.
Conduct assessments to identify family strengths and needs.
Develop and implement individualized support plans for families.
Facilitate access to community resources and services.
Provide educational workshops and information sessions for families.
Work collaboratively with other service providers and community organizations.

Monitor and evaluate the progress of families in achieving their goals.

Requirements
A degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
Proven experience in family support or social services.
Strong understanding of child and family welfare issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and build rapport with diverse families.
Strong organisational and time management skills.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Hours Per Week: 35.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £16.00

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
