We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team, providing high-quality physiotherapy interventions to college students and service users with complex needs within an educational/day service setting. This role requires collaboration within a trans-disciplinary team to integrate therapy targets effectively into the curriculum and achieve optimal service user outcomes.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Implement safe and effective physiotherapy interventions, collaborating with students, service users, families, carers, and external agencies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage a caseload of students/service users, developing detailed therapy plans with SMART targets.
- Deliver hydrotherapy and rebound therapy sessions, and contribute to trans-disciplinary discussions for ongoing needs and therapy planning.
- Produce comprehensive reports for various stakeholders and maintain accurate case notes in line with policies.
- Develop and implement physiotherapy targets within the educational curriculum and Horizons Activity and Sensory programmes.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced therapists and support workers, providing clinical leadership.
- Initiate and organise training for carers, staff, and other professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Participate in audits, research, and policy development to further enhance the physiotherapy services offered.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
- Significant experience in physiotherapy, particularly with complex needs and diverse populations.
- Strong knowledge of current legislation relevant to education and adult service settings.
- Proficient in risk assessment processes and familiar with the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Skilled in using ICT tools and evidence-based practice for assessment and intervention.
