Your new role
The Asset Manager plays a crucial role in delivering the company's development strategy. Reporting to Senior Development Managers and working closely with the Head of Asset Management, the Asset Manager assists in acquiring, managing, and developing commercial assets to regenerate the local borough.
Key responsibilities include overseeing third-party property managers, instructing and managing external agents and surveyors, and assisting with new development projects.The role also involves reporting on portfolio performance, advising on strategy, and identifying opportunities for additional income generation.
What you'll need to succeed- Skilled in report writing and presenting to both public and senior management meetings.
- Confident negotiator and communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in commercial property management or leasing of office, retail, and industrial spaces.
- Background in client-side or consultancy portfolio management, reporting directly to senior management.
- Working knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation, the service charge code, and valuation methodology.
- Familiar with property management systems such as Tramps and Yadi.
- Proficient in valuation and appraisal software like Proval and Argus.
- Experience working with or within Local Authorities.
- Understanding of asset management in the redevelopment process, including the town and country planning process, RIBA work stages, and the construction process.
- MRICS qualification.

30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Pension contribution up to 10&.
Hybrid working (1/2 days a week from home).
