Franchise Contract and Commercial Lead

Morson Talent are currently seeking a Franchise and Contract Commercial Lead to join a major Rail and Transportation client within their bus directorate to manage the franchises with various bus operators who operate and maintain the transport network on the clients behalf You will lead the application of best practice contract and commercial management throughout the contract lifecycle acting as a conduit between the client and the transport operators ensuring compliance to contracts management of contract changes and adherence to performance indicators all whilst driving continuous improvement developing new ways of working and ensuring an effective return on investment You will act as a commercial professional with extensive experience of providing effective commercial management ideally (but not essential) in relation to transport operations You will have substantial experience of managing large value contracts as well as substantial experience of complex contract procurement development implementation variation negotiation and management The salary for this role is £ £ 57 770 - £ 65 024 per annum Salary will be based upon skills and experience Valuing and rewarding our workforce is important to us which is why we offer a range of fantastic benefits such as 28 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays) Flexible and hybrid working options to support a culture of promoting good work life balance Free bus travel within Greater Manchester Free Rail or Metrolink travel to and from work within the Greater Manchester boundary Generous pension scheme contributions Commitment to learning and personal development and upskilling through apprenticeships Reimbursement of professional fees where essential to the role We promote good physical and mental health and can provide additional support to staff via our employee assistance programme when required
