Crewe - Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school located in Macclesfield looking for a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team. Within this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The school is in a great location with excellent transport links between Wilmslow, Congleton and Stoke-on-Trent.

The role:

The successful candidate will help implement individualised learning plans, adapt lessons, and ensure that all students can access the curriculum. You will monitor and assess students academic development/progress and effectively communicate feedback with the class teacher and parents/carers.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with students with additional needs is necessary for this role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of the primary school curriculum
  • Excellent understanding of childhood development and additional needs
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable for this role, but not essential
  • Safeguarding training (this must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
