1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Southampton

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a secondary school student who requires additional support in the classroom. This is a vital role in ensuring that the student can access their learning in a meaningful way and make progress throughout the school year.
The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with complex needs, including autism or other learning difficulties.
- Work with teachers and the SENCO to implement strategies that help the student engage in lessons and access the curriculum.
- Use a range of communication methods to support learning and social interactions.
- Offer pastoral support and encourage positive behaviour management.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of the individual student.
