CNC Turner - Programmer Setter

Job Profile

CNC Turner required to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality precision machined components and turned parts, based in the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will come from a CNC Turning background and ideally have Mazak Machine experience with Mazatrol controls, and will also be fully competent with programming from scratch.

• Set up, program, and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• Work collaboratively with engineers and quality control teams to optimize production processes.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.
• Proficiency in setting, programming, and operating CNC lathes.
• Must be able to programme from scratch
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming languages (Preferably, Mazatrol)
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.

• Full time permanent position
• Monday to Friday
• 42 hour week (07:30 to 16:45 Mon
• Thurs, 07:30 to 15:00 on Fridays)
• Salary - £16 to £20 per hour (Depending on experience)
• 33 days holiday including bank holidays
• Pension contributes
