In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and ensuring alignment between supply and customer requirements. Your analytical skills and strategic thinking will play a crucial role in optimizing our operations and meeting market needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and promotions.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams for demand planning and inventory alignment.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess stock.
- Use forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyse demand patterns and provide insights for decision-making.
- Enhance forecasting processes for better responsiveness.
- Track and report demand forecast changes, including weekly stock buy planning and sales projections for new products.
- Lead logistics for overseas stock collections and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipping.
- Advocate for data-driven reporting and develop Demand Planning tools at various levels.
- Manage inventory through weekly reconciliation, stock sheet maintenance, and review of product health.
- Lead ERP improvements and efficiencies within the team.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Merchandiser, Demand Planning Assistant, or in a similar role, preferably in the beauty or retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting tools and Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in using an ERP system, preferrable with experience of implementing a new ERP system
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and respond effectively
