About the role

Balfour Beatty is recruiting a talented and driven Senior Project Planner (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our Major Projects team at Net Zero Teesside. In this role, you will be instrumental in the planning and delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

As a Senior Project Planner, you will collaborate with various teams to create, monitor, and refine project schedules, while also identifying and resolving potential risks and delays. What you'll be doing
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time,within budget, and meet quality and safety standards:
  • Create and maintain schedules: Collaborate with project teams to create schedules for contracts, procurement, baselines, and tracking.
  • Track progress: Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.
  • Communicate with stakeholders: Work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within scope.
  • Provide solutions: Identify and communicate schedule challenges, risks, and conflicts, and
provide corrective suggestions and creative solutions.
  • Mentor other team members: Develop and facilitate schedule training programs for internal team members.
  • Coordinate project plans: Coordinate all aspects of the project plans, including timelines, resources, and workflow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Who we're looking for

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Civil or Construction Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/Degree level)
  • Vast relevant professional planning experience
  • Technically proficient, with a strong understanding of construction projects
  • Membership of a relevant engineering professional body (ideal but not essential)
