KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Senior leaders within the Trust Deputy Director of Strategy & the wider Service Improvement Team Communications Team Clinical and Operational staff associated with the digital programme Clinical and operational staff members EPR Team External: Existing suppliers and potential new suppliers Other NHS Organisations Third party Consultancy service MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES As a Clinical Systems specialist lead, analyse and advise project teams on system user processes, working with key staff and departmental leads, to NHS professional standards and recognised Trust project management methodology (QSIR).

Take a lead role in coordinating the business change elements of implementation of an Electronic Patient Record, liaising with multiple stakeholders to enable smooth transition for staff and patients to the new platform as well as undertaking assigned Digital system upgrades / new projects Ensure all process change is identified/mapped, considered, and revised as part of Trust digital upgrades and new developments.

One of the key dependencies of the EPR project will be the migration of the entire trust file data storage into a new environment which will require significant mapping and scoping to ensure its success Ascertain a deliverable strategy alongside the Project Manager/Head of Digital in delivering each core aspect of the Electronic Patient Record across the workforce to identify and ensure relevant licences are assigned to each specific role Identify through analytical skills processes that can be improved or digitalised using Robotic Process Automation.

One of the key aspects of driving digital transformation and sustainability is to become as paperless a trust as possible so this would be a key area that the successful applicant would be involved i Responsible for reporting and investigating non-clinical risks associated with Digital systems/processes, both existing and linked to new developments / system upgrades; providing robust draft action plans to support Quality Improvement requirements Actively contribute to the creation of robust Business Plans that support the financial and resource elements of Digital System upgrades / new developments that involve business change.

E.g., creating complex spreadsheet to demonstrate data analysis Actively contribute to the update of policies/procedures relating to Digital system upgrades/projects, for use across the Trust and if required the Local Health Communities Work closely with Project Managers/ IT project/Infrastructure teams to ensure the production and maintenance of project initiation / technical requirements documentation ensuring all relevant clinical aspects have been included Coordinate project documentation to include relevant aspects of business/process change relevant to users, including communication plans, benefits realisation plans, highlight and exception reports Plan, review, and coordinate workflow analysis to identify organisational change requirements to support service redesign priorities Maintain logs recording risks, quality, and other issues; developing management plans as appropriate or referring to Project Manager as required Liaise closely with stakeholders, IT services and managers to influence, negotiate and implement development changes in Trust Digital systems, relevant to system functionality, to prioritise and deliver service improvement to patients Using specialist/technical knowledge, advise managers during the procurement process for Digital Systems and associated support services as required Produce progress reports for Project Managers to present at Executive level, Perfecting Pathways Project groups and Digital System sub-groups as required Deliver presentations on Digital Systems benefits/developments to small and large audiences e.g.: Operational/Exec managers, Healthcare professionals, Clinicians, Finance, HR staff and external visitors which are likely to be challenging as linked to significant new ways of working; both internally and externally of the Trust Present on and operationally manage the resolution of contentious business process change issues; referring to Project Manager as appropriate Use own specialist/technical skills and knowledge of Digital systems to be able to explain or simplify complicated process changes / issues, using highly effective communication skills that staff will understand Manage and resolve issues that may arise with users, i.e., where there is resistance to new processes / systems which they believe could impact their workload.

This requires high levels of tact and diplomacy Using specialist/technical skills and knowledge to develop operational policies and procedures in conjunction with digital systems training team and a wide range of stake holders to ensure their safe and effective use Develop appropriate training plans in conjunction with clinical systems managers, IT Training team and system stakeholders Maintain knowledge and skills including those specific to the Trusts Digital systems and associated applications / processes to enable effective delivery of upgrades/projects Participate at appropriate clinical / non-clinical management meetings (e.g. divisional, multi-disciplinary) as required.

Professional Requirements Take personal responsibility for attendance at mandatory training and updating as per Trust statutory and mandatory training requirements and informs the manager if there is any deviance from training attendance at mandated intervals Adhere to all Trust policies ensuring a high standard of personal and professional behaviour is always maintained whilst acting as an ambassador for the trust and a role model to others.
Physical Effort: Required to frequently sit at a PC to develop and write complex test scripts/ business cases. Mental Effort Long periods of complex process mapping of workflows that requires specialist knowledge. Emotional Effort Required to influence operational teams during periods of difficult process change and new ways of working.
Likely to frequently experience difficult situations and resistance. Required to actively maintain technical specialist skills and knowledge as part of front-line services during development, testing and implementation of Digital systems upgrades and new developments.
