Exciting Opportunity: One-to-One Tutors for Behavioural Support

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity to provide behavioural support to young children in the Leeds area. We are currently seeking dedicated one-to-one tutors to assist children and young people in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
  • Planning and Delivering Sessions: Design and implement engaging learning sessions tailored to the child's needs, focusing on developing their knowledge in core subjects.
  • Behaviour Management: Work with children who may exhibit challenging behavioural needs, employing various strategies to effectively meet their individual requirements.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor students' progress and determine appropriate next steps in their learning journey.
  • Inspiring Engagement: Motivate children to achieve their potential while ensuring they remain engaged and able to access their learning.
The role involves providing foundation-level tutoring in Maths and English, offering approximately ten hours of support per student starting from September.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people is essential.
  • Session Planning: Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to the learner's needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Develop effective strategies and coping mechanisms to manage behaviour.
  • Confidence Building: Skills to enhance children's confidence within their learning.
  • Progress Monitoring: Capability to track progress and devise next steps towards achieving learning outcomes.
  • SEN Experience: Experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential for this position.
All applicants must meet the necessary qualifications and training for this role.
  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
  • This position is advertised as temporary, with the potential for it to become permanent in some cases.
