The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in an On-Call rota with comprehensive training provided, and offering competitive sessional rates with recovery time.
In this role, you will have access to cutting-edge analytical platforms, including Ortho Vitros, Sebia, Optilite and Exent systems. While previous experience with these analysers is beneficial, it is not a requirement as you will have the opportunity to work alongside experts in Blood Sciences with full training provided.

The post holder will deliver a fit for purpose Blood Sciences service and is primarily responsible for the analytical service. The post holder will rotate through all sections of the department. The key workingrelationships will be with staff in Biochemistry, but the post holder will be expected to liaise with staff throughout pathology and the Trust. There will be frequent occasions when the post holder takes sole
responsibility for work, for example when no senior staff are present.

- To ensure that all logbooks / forms relating to calibrators, controls and reagents are maintained.
- To receive and handle samples in accordance with SOPs within laboratory and reception areas.
