Job Title: Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
The Tutor will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or group setting. Duties include preparing and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Required Qualifications:
A relevant degree in the subject area being taught, teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), and a valid DBS check.
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the subject area being tutored.
Experience:
Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and engage students, strong subject knowledge, and the capacity to adapt teaching techniques to suit different learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree in the subject area being taught and experience working with students of varying abilities.
Working Conditions:
The Tutor will primarily work in educational institutions or private tutoring centres. The role may involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate students' schedules.
