Domestic Assistant
We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 16 hours per weekContract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Castle View Residential Home
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Residential Care Services.
We pay an attractive salary of £12 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council is committed to paying the real Living Wage. Therefore, this salary includes a pay supplement.
Castle View Residential Home is seeking to recruit 1 x 16 hour Domestic Assistant to work 3 days over a 7 day week which will include weekends and bank holidays on a rota pattern. There will also be opportunities to work additional hours.
We are looking for the right person who can join our team that promotes a homely, warm atmosphere where we strive to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
You will be required to carry out your duties which can include working in the kitchen, laundry or cleaning in a dignified / respectful manner. Experience of working in a care environment and knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety Act and Health and Safety would be beneficial although not essential.
For the role, we ask that you have:
Knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity, choice etc.The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
