About the Production Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, taking swift action in case of accidents. They will focus on developing a skilled, multitalented team and driving performance while manufacturing safe, legal food and reducing non-conformities.You will aim to meet business KPIs related to customer service, product quality, yield, labour efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, emphasising continuous improvement.
Key tasksManage a production team by ensuring they are properly resourced, trained, and motivated to deliver excellent service.
Oversee the entire plant's operations, including ancillary areas, to meet production targets and efficiency goals without compromising quality.
Maintain product quality standards, address complaints, and implement necessary improvements while controlling costs within budget.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and company policies and procedures.
About YouExperience of working in a production environment within food manufacturing.
Knowledge of working with HACCP and SALSA.
Previous management / supervisory responsibilities essential.
Excellent working knowledge of food production machinery and equipment.
