Overview

The Insurance Team has a broad range of internal influence and external reach into numerous partners. The function comprises four pillars: compliance, insurance capacity, customer care and claims supplier management.

Reporting to the Director of Insurance, be the operational pivot of the Insurance Team’s trading productivity, co-ordinating delivery and outputs in support of the company's financial and commercial goals. Be a key player in the evolution of the team’s value-add and transformation from good to great.

Role responsibility

Drive team’s trading ethos
  • Review trading indicators and trends to understand performance and to identify opportunities to support income growth and drive financial performance
  • Use insights to work cross-functionally into the Pricing, Commercial, Product and Customer Care teams on tactical trading initiatives that capitalise on income opportunities and mitigate income risks
Co-ordinate team’s internal productivity
  • Coordination of team reporting and MI relevant to management of the functions work streams. MI analysis in support of delivering the function’s goals
  • Co-ordinate and optimize delivery of team’s product and data development requests
  • Coordination of project inputs, ensuring the team’s contributions are planned and delivered in alignment to project objectives and timescales
  • Monitor the delivery of team’s actions in support of key internal steering groups, ensuring timely and effective resolution and record keeping
Support optimisation of supplier deals
  • Assist in supplier contractual value extraction by monitoring SLA delivery and stretching beneficial outcomes to commercial terms
  • Participate in the delivery of new partnerships, ensuring tenders and deal constructs support the achievement of Wrisk goals
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in UK personal and commercial motor broking, ideally gained within a trading lead or operations management role
  • Robust understanding of UK motor insurance industry
  • Contract and supplier management experience a strong advantage
  • Analytical with strong general commercial and financial acumen and an eye for detail
  • Highly organised and methodical ways of working
  • Strong communications skills with requirement to operate to board level and across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
  • Compelling team player who contributes proactively and purposefully
